Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We pray you have a great a Blessed Christmas Season. We are excited about all God is doing in and for our family. The boys are getting excited about Christmas. This is the last week of school before Christmas break. They are so excited and said the other day "when is it going to snow". We do love the snow, however, it usually means we don't see much of Jay(work will be calling when snow or the words "might snow"). We are excited about seeing and spending time with family over the Christmas season. And we are super excited to see and spend time with DD, Danielle, who is visiting from South Africa.
The other night during supper John Michael says "Mommy I want to ask you something" I said what it is? "Mommy do you still love me even when I get in trouble?" I said of course I do and Jay said I do too. We then explained that Jesus loves us even when we don't do what he wants us to do. That was one of those things out of nowhere.
We are blessed and love our children. We are thankful for their health and their love for each and family.
We appreciate your prayers as we conitune our journey of "Foster Parenting". God is in control!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Well It's Been A Long While
We have been busy as many of you guys have as well. James is loving 1st grade. He finished his first season of flag football. His team finished 3rd place, and he had fun at his banquet. He has had some dental work over the last month. He had to have a back tooth pulled and a partial rootcanal. He did great, I was so proud of him. John Michael is having a good time in preschool. He is doing great, he counted to 100 the other day and was so excited. He can count to 100 by 10s as well. This is a big thanks to his big brother James, who always wants to play school.
Jay and I can't believe how much they have grown up. We are getting excited about the Holidays coming up. We are all apart of the Living Christmas Tree at our church. I will try to post some pictures from football this week. I have been busy with PTO president duties as well as being a mom.
The boys and Jay went to the UT football game last Sat. I made a trip to Bath Springs to be with daddy and the family. Daddy had surgery on Monday, Nov. 7 he has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer. He goes back to dr on monday to see how he is healing and if the cancer has spread. Praying that all is well and knowing God is in control no matter what the dr reports say.
I will try to do better about keeping you informed of our daily adventures.
Til next time....

Catching up....
Well....It's been awhile since the last post. We have been busy with the children. School started, football, gymnastics, church FUN FUN FUN!!!
James is loving 1st grade and is doing great. He enjoys school and is excited about changing classes for Reading and Math. He is playing flag football and is having fun. He was so excited the other night during the game he grab a flag and stopped a touchdown run. I was one proud momma too. He is still enjoying gymnastics and it really seems to be helping him with flexiblity too. He has started his second Sparks book in Awana and blesses my heart to hear him recite his verses. He has asked to take his Awana book to school. I pray daily that he allows the Lord to continue to use him to tell other students about Jesus and church. I just can't believe he is already in 1st grade.
John Michael is doing great also. He started preschool and goes 3 days a week. He enjoys his teachers and telling us what he does at school each night. He is in gymnastics and is doing great, we can't believe how flexible he is. He loves anything to do with a ball and if he doesn't have a ball he will find something and pretend it is a ball. He wanted to play football however, he is not old enough. He is in his second Cubbies book in Awana and I love to him try to pronounce the books of the Bible and say his verse. He is a blessing to us. I pray God continues to work in his life.
We went camping over the Labor Day weekend with some friends from church. We had a great time, swimming, water slide, playing, resting and of course great camp food. The boys had so much fun going down the water slide with their daddy. Of course, it started off typical Rosen trip. We had not been at camp site 1hr and boys were in creek and it happened. John Michael dropped a big rock and got his finger caught between two rocks. It turned blue and was swollen and is still swollen a little. This is typical John Michael ALL BOY!!!!!!!
We are enjoying the call to be Foster Parents, and help children while their are in state custody. The Lord is answering prayers daily in our life. Please conitnue to pray for us, I will post more details at a later date.
Until next time......

SCHOOL HAS STARTED!!!!!!
Well.....it's that time of year again. James had his first day of 1st grade Monday. He loves his teacher and is having fun learning. I am praying that God uses him in a mighty way this school year. Every morning I tell him..."be a leader today and help someone in need". He blessed my heart yesterday morning when he said "wait mommy I got to get my Bible to take to school". The teacher may not can say much about God in school, but as of right now it is NOT illegal for student led talking about God. We are praying for his teacher and all the staff at his school.
John Michael had his first day of 4year old Wee School yesterday. He was as full of energy as he always is. He is excited about preschool and going to Mrs. Paula's class at Mother's Day Out at FBC. I am praying he learns a lot as he prepares for next year. I can't believe that this time next year he will be going to Kindergarten. I am thankful for all his teachers and we are praying the kids and teachers have a FUN year.
We are excited about all the boys are doing. However, we are now at that point of busyness. Boys have gymnastics one night a week, James has flag football practice 3nights a week(til games start in Sept.) and church activities. We are loving being so involved just praying God is given all the glory for our daily walk.
I have agreed to be the PTO president, and I am excited about being involved at the school. We have a new principal and we are excited about all she is going to do for the school.
Thank you Lord for your everyday Blessings.

Family Visit
Jay's Grandma Rosen passed away so we made a trip to Memphis. We enjoyed celebrating the live of grandma, she would have been 96 August 25. We had time to visit with family as well. We spent Friday in Memphis for the funeral that morning and then had lunch with the extended family. After lunch we went and visited Jay's former co-workers and the boys enjoyed watching the TDOT smart cameras at work.
Then we had a wonderful visit with Uncle Ralph, Aunt Michelle and kiddos. We went bowling and then had CiCi's pizza. We were excited and thrilled to hear that Uncle Ralph has accepted the Lord as his Savior and so have the 3 older children. Jay and I were both praising the Lord for the change in Ralph. Jay and Ralph had a good visit and promised to keep in touch more often. We are looking forward to the next visit, maybe they can come here and go camping in the mountains.
We then headed to Bath Springs to visit Nanny, Pops, Kenzie and Konner.I love watching them wrestle in the floor with Pops. We had a great time swimming at Aunt Liz's house and visiting with family. Then we headed to Moma Betty Jo's house for supper, and to visit with Uncle Bill and Aunt Wanda and they had Jax their grandson with them too. The boys loved to played with Jax, especially John Michael. He kept wanting to feed him and hold him. I love that he is all boy but knows when to be gentle too. Then we started our trip back home. James cried and didn't want to leave, then after we got down the road a little ways John Michael started crying when he realized we were not headed to Pops and Nanny's house. Then later mom called and said Konner had cried when he got home from a party and realized we had left. I hate to see them cry but thankful that they love to be together.
Pictures to come soon.
Praising the Lord for answered prayers!!!!!

James Swim Lessons 2011
James had so much fun this year at swim lessons. He is doing so good. Ms. Dee said he is almost ready for the swim team.

What a Week!!!!
Our church just finished up a week of VBS. We had a great time and most importantly we had some children make decisions to follow Christ. Mrs. Tammy & Mrs. Danna did a great job directing VBS. We had our celebration of VBS on Friday night the children and parents had a blast. Thank you Lord for allowing us to plant seeds and some seeds bloom.
Jay got a call on Sat that his Grandma Rosen passed away. She was 96 and just a few weeks from her 97th bday. She lived a long, good life. We are thankful the boys had the chance to know her. She was actually able to attend their bday party in March.
I can't believe that school will be starting back in a few weeks. My how the summer has gone fast. The boys are excited and James keeps asking "when is it going to be August?" I told him just wait there will be a day when you say "oh mom it is August already". I am thankful he loves school.
I am excited about all the Lord is doing in our family. Waiting on his timing and plan about our adopting a little girl. Please join us in prayer about this matter, that we will follow God's leading and not our own.

Been Awhile
Well, I know it has been forever since I last posted. We are enjoying our summer break which seems to be coming to an end sooner than we wished. The boys had swim lessons and are doing great. They are loving gymnastics and have come a long way in their class. I am so proud of them. James is getting ready for 1st grade, he keeps asking "when is going to be August". I told him there will be a day when he will not be asking me that. They have both been going to a summer camp two days a week. I have been catching up on some reading, trying to scrapbook and enjoying being home with the boys. We enjoyed a visit from nanny and pops(my parents) over the 4th of July weekend. We went to Cades Cove and saw 2 black bears, deer, had a picnic and played mini golf. John Michael decided the 4th was not exciting enough so while at Aunt Bev's house he fell and busted his lip, so we went to the ER. After a stitch we got to come home and he was right back at it full force. He is ALL boy for sure. The boys have been to 2 VBS this summer and we are getting ready to have our VBS at HBC on Sunday. We have started visiting the nursing homes in town, the people love to see the boys come in and the boys have had fun playing jingo with them. Jay and I are leaving this afternoon with 18 others from HBC headed to Jr. Camp Thursday - Sunday, then we start VBS on Sunday night. We love working with the children and they are a blessing to us.
Jay has been busy with work and getting ready to start work on his disortation. I am so proud of how hard he has worked and getting praying for strength for him to finish strong.
I guess that about catches you up on the Rosen life. I will try to do more posting later.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Well, I have not been good at blogging. We have been busy as everyone else has been. James is doing well in school, last friday his class had a Q & U wedding. James got to be Q and all the students looked so cute. John Michael is loving preschool and keeps us laughing all the time. He wants to play ball so bad, we have tried to tell him he has to wait til next year. I have finally gotten back in a routine, helping at James school, getting boys to school and started doing a little "early" spring cleaning. We have had nice weather this week, but looks like we are going back to cooler weather next week. We are all ready for spring to come and stay for awhile. We are getting excited about the month of March, we have birthday parties to get ready for. John Michael will be 4 March 1, and James will be 6 March 14. We will be going to Bath Springs the first weekend in March for Konner's birthday party. We are looking forward to seeing family. We went to a UT men's basketball game and had lots of fun. The boys really enjoyed this and we are planning to go to some softball and baseball games this spring. I can't believe how fast the boys are growing up. Jay is enjoying his class this semester and is getting things in order for his disotration. Thanks for your prayers for our family.
God is in control.

Family Fun!!!
Well...Jay has been busy at work again with this crazy weather. I am glad to be back on a "normal" schedule with school for the boys. The boys keep asking about us going camping, I keep telling them not to worry because we will be going camping this spring and summer, especially with all the time Jay has accumalated during these winter months. We have been busy cleaning out toys and clothes during all our snow days. I am trying to get some scrapbooking done, I would love to get caught up by the end of the year(not sure if that will happen). Have a great week.

SNOW!!!!SNOW!!!!!SNOW!!!!
I now have a new respect for single moms. Jay has had to work for several hours, since last wed...We have had fun in the snow but could have had more fun if Jay could have been home. Just be warned we will have a fun blog this spring when he is able to take some time off. Today Aunt Bev, Chrissy and Bererket came over to play and have adult conversations. No school so far this week, maybe Friday the roads will be clear enough to go to school. We found out this afternoon the students will go to school on MLK day and the Friday before President's Day and President's Day too. We have enjoyed the snow but we have had enough as well. The Lord is working in our family and we can't wait to see what else he does for us this year. Praying God Blesses you and your family.

2011 starts off
On Monday, Dec.27 we finally made it to West Tn to be with family for Christmas. We had lots of fun visiting with family. The boys were excited to get their DS for Christmas and James was so excited about his notebook with paper from Nanny. We decided to stay and bring in the New Year with the family. We had fun playing cards and eating Christmas candy. We made our way back home on the sat. after Christmas. I was excited to get home and get decorations down and get on a "regular" schedule. Jay has been on vacation this week, getting a lot taken care of around the house. Today started out as a nice day, then this afternoon out of no where it came down...SNOW,SNOW,SNOW!!! So you know what that means....Jay left for work around 9pm and will come home sometime tomorrow. I do enjoy the beauty of the snow, however I don't enjoy Jay working these crazy hours.Praying God continues to Bless each and everyone who reads our blog. Excited about what God is going to do in our family this year.
HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!!!
